Course Objectives

The ART Course for Clinicians gives an in-depth understanding of all aspects of an In-Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) cycle, from pre-treatment evaluation and testing, through the entire treatment path, and into planning for future cycles. It also explores the ethical issues in treatment and quality control of the lab procedures.

As part of the course curriculum, trainees will have the unique opportunity to observe various treatment procedures both through live video feed, as well as to rotate individually into the clinic and operating room for ultrasound scans, oocyte recovery and embryo transfer.

Who is it for?

The course is targeted at beginners or novices in the IVF field who are looking to develop their skills further in this area. Trainees should be O&G doctors with a minimum of 3 years experience in dealing with infertility issues, and some familiarity with OI & IUI procedures using stimulation with Gonadotropins. They should also have some experience with trans-vaginal ultrasound for follicular tracking. A minimum requirement of basic working English is required.


Course Objectives

The ART Course for Embryologists provides a detailed overview of all aspects of the ART laboratory, including the set-up and running of the lab, specific procedures, and quality control to ensure the highest possible success rates in an IVF programme.

The course offers each trainee a complete hands-on learning opportunity. Classes are conducted in state-of-the-art training laboratories and the latest equipment for effective ART procedures. Faculty will work one-on-one with trainees throughout the course, providing a total overview and continuous assessment.

Who is it for?

The course is targeted at the beginner or novice Embryologist who is looking to develop his or her skills further in the IVF field. Trainees should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Biotechnology or Biological Sciences, and should be familiar with culture techniques and have experience in tissue handling. A minimum requirement of basic working English is required.
